Apron Feeders

KMK Bulk Material Handling division received an order to design the feeders shown below on an existing site. They replaced the previous vibrating feeders, that were not suitable for sticky material.
The Compact Apron Feeder, designed to fit in a small envelope with low headroom, process material from the hoppers above, discharged from a Wagon Tippler.

The Feeders were installed to handle Iron Ore Concentrate and have a combined throughput of ~1800tph. Each conveyor was fitted with a fines conveyor and a belt cleaner. The material is discharged onto the original yard conveyor. They are designed to work continuously for 30 years, with minimal maintenance. The Feeders were installed into the existing site foundations with no changes to the concrete.
